Knowing how stressful and expensive moving can be, Malcolm and Lorraine will do their best to answer any questions you may have, and try and offer helpful hints on how to make the move as smooth and cost - effective as possible. Some examples might be:
- The best way to pack and protect valuables, and the best way to save on the purchase of boxes by sensible packing
- To make the move much more cost effective, we advise to have as much packed in boxes as possible, to have things dismantled where needed, food already taken from the fridge, washing machine, tvs, video players and sound systems etc disconnected. Removalists are happy to do this, but it obviously adds to the time taken, therefore it also adds to the cost if you are booking removalists on an hourly rate. Click on the Checklist link for a handy, printable list of the things you need to do to make your move quicker and easier.
- Reminding customers to ring solicitors and agents regarding settlement times, so the removalists turn up at the right time to start and you are not paying for unnecessary waiting times. Have a look at our Move Calculator, which you can customise to see what should happen when before you move.

- Who do you have to tell you are moving? Government departments, insurance companies, schools.... to make your life easier, we have created a list for you to use - click here to download it as a pdf file
